Los Angeles Baseball will clash against each other beginning July first in what should be an entertaining series. This July 4thweekend will certainly bring red, white and blue jerseys to the Angels stadium. While the dodgers have dominated headlines with off of the field bankruptcy issues, the angels have gotten themselves above .500. Both teams hope to win and have plenty to play for this week.
The Dodgers at 36-46 have been playing better as of late, but will be the away team in their own city. Currently, they are 17-22 in away games and hope Hiroki Kuroda can lead them to a victory in game one. Kuroda brings to the mound a 5-9 record with a low 3.10 earned run average this year. It is apparent he has not gotten much help from the plate this year, which must be frustrating for the pitcher.
Meanwhile across town, the Angels are above .500 with a 42-40 record that they hope to build on. At home they are just 18-20. Tyler Chatwood will throw for the Angels in game one. He carries into the game a 3.64 ERA and has 5 wins to 4 losses. This battle of Los Angeles is set for a first pitch at 10:05 PM ET.
