The Lakers fell to a less than average Knick team on Friday. The Loss moves the Lakers record to just 15-12 this season as they continue to fall below expectations. They have been particularly horrible away from home where they are just 4-10 on the season. The latest loss comes to a sub-par Knick team who are without some key pieces. The Lakers are falling further behind their LA counterpart Clippers.
Kobe Bryant, who continues to be a bright spot for the team, led the Lakers in the game. Bryant scored 34 points in the contest, but was outscored by a Knick player believe it or not. Andrew Bynum led the team in rebounds with 13 and continues to be a monster on the boards. Steve Blake also led the team in assist with just 3. The Lakers had two quarters in which they failed to score 20 points.
The Knicks move to just 12-15 with the victory, and improve their home record to an even 7-7. The team was led by Jeremy Lin who scored a career high 38 points and showed a lot of people just how effective he can be. Lin also led the team in assists with 7. Tyson Chandler added 11 rebounds to lead the team as well. The Knicks have had nothing special to brag about this season, but may have found a star on this day in Lin
The Lakers must improve away from LA if they plan on being a actual contender for the championship this season.
