
The Clippers lost at home in dramatic fashion Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The game pitted Kevin Love against Blake Griffin who are two sure all stars. The game was close throughout, but the last 30 seconds were truly amazing and ultimately ended in a big win for the Wolves who hit a buzzer-beater to escape from LA with a win.
Mo Williams who scored 25 in the contest and hit his first 7 shots in a row led the Clippers. Deandre Jordan led the team in rebounds with 11 on the day. The Clippers were out-scored 29-19 in the 4th quarter as they ultimately blew the game and could not close. Billips had a chance for another game ending score, but could not convert and gave the Timberwolves one final chance that they made good on. The loss brings the Clippers record to 8-5 on the year.
Darko Lilicic who scored 22 on the day led the Timberwolves. Love also added 14 rebounds, but made his mark very late in the Fourth quarter. After Billips missed shot the Wolves got the ball with 1.5 seconds left. Love got the inbound well behind the 3-point line and shit a a 3 that went through at the buzzer to give the Wolves the win. The win brings the Wolves record to 7-8 on the season.
The Clippers will have the day off Saturday and will have to look into ways to close out games. The Timberwolves will now travel to Utah to face the 9-5 Jazz.
