The Clippers won 103-91 on Sunday thanks to a night full of dunks and highflying fun for the other LA team. The Clippers are finally really making a name for themselves in California. After losing seasons for more than a decade they have some young talent that is poised to make a run. The Clippers are now 9-5 on the season and are 8-2 in home games this year.
The Clippers were led my Mo Williams on offense, but got plenty of players supporting. Williams led the team in points with 26 on the night. DeAndre Jordan added 16 of his own and also had 16 rebounds to match. Billips led the team in assist and was critical in getting the team a lot of fast breaks and explosive plays. Jordan had a couple of very exciting dunks on the night and continues to be a player to keep an eye on. The Clippers scored over 25 points in 3 of the four quarters.
The Raptors loss sends them to just 4-13 this season. They are just 2-8 when away from home and have an 8 game losing streak to date. Leandro Barbosa led the team in points with 19. A slow start for the Raptors was what to blame most for the defeat. After the first quarter the Clippers were winning 27-11. The Raptors even outscored the Clips in two periods, but it was not enough. The 16-point differential was enough for LA to hold onto and get the win.
